Right, there is some people who can port it to PC, but it's a bit too sensitive :-)
I have to find the right guy. About logic: Ees, only thing that logic recognize from plug are controlers (automation), the plug can't send a note on/off and other midi information from plug to the host (that's the case with PI2M and logic) Do you remeber Orange Vocoder? Did you control vocoding with you midi keyboard? I dont hink so. They are working on OMS version (because of LOGIC). Regards -------------------- Polytonic

very good to know everyone - thanks for this new info. You guys are right about the MIDI controller info. I have only ever sent controller info to the plugs.
I hope this plus will be available soon for logic - it would be a dream for correcting (replacing) crappy drum sounds. |

Hey Invect I never buy the top of the line box. I always wait until after a Macworld event when Apple traditionaly speedbumps. Then the previous models are discounted.
I've never paid more the $1200 for a new Mac. Cruising along fine with 50+ tracks on a G4/400. The next time I will get the midlevel machine so I can get a superdrive. -------------------- G-Dub

GW,
I was a diehard Mac user for a long time. Until I could no longer afford to purchase Macs. Here's the little problem with Macintosh. My Pentium 4 Northwood CPU @ 2.4Ghz runs 60 Logic platinumverbs. Dual 1Ghz G4's can run.. 18. How could I ever go back to that? Being on PC allows me to use Waves Renaissance EQ's, compressors, etc, on nearly every single track of a mix. Need to load 40 renaissance eqs's, 25 compressors, 4 reverbs, 16 vst instruments, some mastering plugins, 10 delays? Think up your own combination. No problem. At 1.5ms latency. You just can't do this on a Mac. PC's are getting more than three times the power. Mixing on the Mac is the -old paradigm-. The old way. Heavy limitations. With the power of a PC, it's a new way. No limitations. Use as many compressors as I need. I don't need to bounce. Working is much faster. Having this kind of power allows a different philosophy and technique when mixing. How could I -ever- go back to Mac? How could I? Price of said PC.. $700. 3 X power for one fourth the price of that dual 1ghz machine. - Brook E. |

Uh . . .
I'm having a real hard time routing the output to a midichannel in cubase 5, the info sheet says something like ' turn on and select midi track' . I don't get it, is this a demo limitaion Please give me a proper response since this is more than an interesting plugin...... I think I'm gonna stop using my key controller and hum into the mike instead (Then quantize it ! ) Regards'n Respect BioGen |

Invect we just have different needs.
I do a lot of work around the country, and when I travel I just take my external firewire drive and sometimes my audio card. With my apps and files on drive. I buy or rent a Mac in that city for the duration of the project, then sell it. I get paid, I go home. When I'm on the road, I need that simplicity and elegance. Most of the projects I work on rarely exceed 32 tracks. I'm also required to interface with Avid and Pro Tools systems. True PC's are more powerful but, in circles that I frequent pcs are for office work. And if I want to play with the big boys, I have to use the big boy toys. Obineg open up the inspecter to get more options, also in the track window under instrument. -------------------- G-Dub

'Having this kind of power allows a different philosophy and technique when mixing.' No, it just gives you a software SSL (not the latest technology). Limitation always yields original results, You learn to improvise. Either way I don´t care if somebody likes working Audio on an IBM/Microsoft desktop machine. Question is are they doing any interesting stuff with it. Dragan : Guess I have to wait till you license your plug to apple. Still not working Cheers ObI |

Hello there.
Sorry for non response. Unfortunately i didn't sell PI2M licence to Apple I dont understand why it doesn't work with your cubase, i have checked the plug with Cubase 5 (demo) so many times and it works (other people are using PI2M without problem) Here we go again. Insert the PI2M plug on the audio track to convert. Set up option (FFT size, window size...) Select MIDI track to play or record. Start playing... Thats all.. Hope this help. 1. When will PitchToMidi be available for Logic on OS 9?
2. What pitch resolution will it detect and deliver? i.e. to nearest ? cents? 3. How does it compare in performance to my aged Vocalizer hardware unit? http://www.harmonics.com/lucy/ |

Congratulation for this delicious plug-in! Dragan made a dream of mine become true! It works fine with my G4/400 MHz and Cubase VST 5.0. The only problem is that velocity values are pretty low, although my audio signal is strong enough (IMO). Dragan wrote me that he is going to implement some new feature in PitchToMidi, so i guess I´ll pay the shareware fee soon to support his work. Everybody should do it!
