In 60 days, it's the end of the MacMusic website, a complete black-out !
Just because of the server as it was explained below...

So now it's time to move... We need you, we need your help !
Help us just in becoming an Active Member NOW !

"As you should already noticed, since several months the MacMusic pages are more and more difficult to load and you're very often faced to the "Server Overload" page or even to the very "poetic" message "Mysql too many connection error....". Not to mention the pathetic moments when the server is not reachable because it crashed and the mornings when digest mails aren't sent anymore.

The reason is crystal clear: as expected our server can't bear anymore the increasing traffic! We should absolutely and very quickly shift to a more powerful server.

Of course this has a cost and unfortunately the very little numbers of active members doesn't allow us to pay the one-year fee needed to upgrade the server.

We only miss THIRTY more Active Members to succeed. So if you were hesitating, it's really the right time to "Activate" yourself: We won't be able to survive without your support!" Soif, Webmaster

Maybe some of you will remember this quote from a Duke Ellington standard "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing !" in our case it will be" Without new active (paying) members it won't last longer". no way that our web master will be able to keep this site alive, yes you read that sentence right

There's not gonna be anymore a Mac Music website anymore cause the server is about to die and we need thirty more members to survive !

i gave the good example by paying today my account 60 euros, and just to let you know I had already a avtive member pass due to my work as a traductor for the news but still i decide to pay cause we need the support right now and not in a month ! beware one morning there won't be any Mac music website anymore !

I start today to record my first tracks on Pro Tools thanks to the two Active Members Clouvel and Brian which help me so much to set up my Pro Tools Le and the m Box

FYI, OUR HOSTING COMPANY IS UNDER FIRE AND OUR SERVER IS CURRENTLY RUNNING WITH GENERATORS: THEY DO AN IMPRESSIVE WORK : NO SERVICE INTERUPTION !!!!

Message from their CEO:

At just after 7 PM CST, a major transformer in the data center parking lot exploded. At this time, it is still on fire.

We have implemented our emergency response plans.

Our backup generators are working as designed and a fuel truck has been dispached.

We are also bringing in 2 truck mounted generators as additional backup due to teh length of time we anticipate running on generator.

LIMITED staff is working in the building at this time as a precaution.

HOWEVER, our full management and administrative staff has been dispached to the facility.

Please bear with us if you have reboot or restore tickets pending, we will get to them as fast as possible given the limited in building staff.

Just to put the magnitude of this in perspective, we currently have 8 fire trucks, 6 vpolice cars, and two ambulances on our property and in the roadway ... this in addition to several news helicopters.
