Does anyone know how to get reason 2.5 to play into protools 6.01 since they claim it works.
Does it use rewire, direct connect or what? and how do I configure?
thanks for any help.

I'll take a shot at it.

Digidesign's Core Audio Driver 1.2 supports Reason 2.5. Pro Tools 6.0.1 is required to make use of the Core Audio Driver. However, Pro Tools 6.0.1 does NOT support Rewire 2. With the up-coming release of Pro Tools 6.1, Rewire 2 will be supported. When that will be released for public use, who knows. It was talked about a few months back, and I haven't heard any mention of it since then.

So with that said, Reason 2.5 will NOT slave to Pro Tools 6.0.1. The only thing I can suggest is exporting the Reason 2.5 audio files to disk, then import them into Pro Tools.

There is an alternative to Rewire out there that allows you to slave Reason to Pro Tools, but I don't know what that program is. Anyone out there know what that one is called and located?

Hope this helps!!!

thanks for the update and clarification. Now I know it doesn't work at the present time.
The name of the program yor thinking of is reFuse. lot's of bad criticism in OSX. I'd rather wait till Digi provides us with the update. Thanks again for the info.
