Hi folks,

While waiting on MOTU to get DP4 out, I have been looking around. I found this great little program for $25 shareware fee. I downloaded the demo. It worked flawlessly with OSX 10.2.4. I recorded a cut from an old 33 vinal record (my grandkids call them big CDs) into it. It was very scratchy. I then proceeded to learn the editor, which I did in a couple of hours. It took me a while but I cleaned up all the noise and the cut now sounds good. The program ran for 3 days and hasn't crashed yet! Amazing!!!It records in mono or stereo. It also uses plugins such as VST etc, but I haven't tried that yet.I haven't yet fully explored all it can do, but so far sho good.

I wish I could find a midi sequencer that works as good on OSX. Anyone know of one? I will be sending in the shareware fee. I vote with my wallet. Great program!

I've written an interesting little sequencer for OS X you
might want to try out. It's called Numerology and it is
based around many of the concepts used by analogue
sequencers, but with a few extra goodies thrown in.
You can get more info at www.five12.com. It will
be released in the next couple of weeks for $50. A
public demo/beta is available now.

Cheers,
Jim

There's also Intuem (intuem.com) but some people just don't get on with it.

I like the sound of jimcoker's Numerology better.

Jim,
Your program looks interesting and I wanted to try your sequencer, but I have tried several times to download it from the yahoo site and it fails to finish the download. Once I thought it finished, but after unstuffing the app wouldn't launch so I suppose it was a corrupted download. You may want to see about putting it somewhere else. Or folks will think your program is crap because the damn server won't download it properly! And I know from reading the posts that it is not crap.

I would still like to try it if I can get a clean copy of the demo.

I did try the inteum sequencer. It didn't suit my fancy, so I'm still in the market.

A couple other people had similar problems. I've
posted the beta to an alternate location, see my
posting to the numer-pub list for details.
