I want to be able to set it up so that when I'm recording tracks and when I'm listening back, the screen will automatically scroll with the transport. Is this an option? How do I set it up?

Thanks!

Have you tried Option/Scrolling/Page?

Yeah, that's it. Pro Tools doesn't have a smoothly scrolling option, so it's Page for you.

Great, thanks! I'll set that up. You mean that it won't actually scroll though? That's kind of a bummer for a $250 program when Cakewalk Home Studio ($79) can do it...

I don't think it's a matter of can do. They probably reckon it's not a very helpful option having a constantly moving target in front of you. Mind you, they could let the user decide, couldn't they huh.gif

I have 135 monitors all lined up and linked, simply follow the line from screen to screen as the song progresses, a cordless keyboard and mouse is also very handy for this method.
Or you could click. follow timeline in preferences!
