I've been running Logic Pro 7 on my Mac Powerbook G4 (1.5 GHz, 1.25 GB RAM) for almost a year, and from the beginning I've noticed an extremely high-pitched buzz (kinda?) emanating from my comp whenever I connect to my Firepod and run Logic. Nothing adverse has happened, but I've always wondered what it is.... sometimes I think it's coming from the LCD.... can anyone shed light on this phenomenon?

Install the CHUD tools available from the Apple developer website and in the new prefpanel Processor, disable NAP (some energy saving feature from the CPU) and see if it's better. If not, try to find the source zone. It can be the screen…

If it's the CPU, it'll save your day. cool.gif
