Which One: Top Powerpc Or Early Macintel?, today's music applications and future Options

Hi all,
Apple gave us a painful choice. It's about new MacIntels.
I would like to buy new equipment and I literally don't know which one to take.
Ableton and Nuendo makers announced, that they will suport MacIntel with new software versions. Logic also, it's obvious (as Apple is maker). M-Audio too (is in the same boat with Ableton).
But Propellerhead Reason probably will not.Reason 3.0 tested on MacIntel and Rosetta slowed down to G3's speed.
Damn! Just when I've decided to upgrade to iMac, things went wrong. Apple has both iMacs (G5 and MacIntel) almost in the same price. So money aren't encourage.
What to do, dear forum nation??

Are you already using macs or not?

If not:
As you're not a pro (I believe) and it's not a life or death question, I'd say: go macintel of eventually wait a little to see the next computer Apple gets out (we expect another go in march)

Also check the apps you want to use are available or will be at an announced date. Until most apps have made the transition and the rest of the range is announced, it'll be a little dodgy.

On the $$$ side, check carefully, eventually on the refurb store of apple, and see if there's not a better deal, check second hand too for PPC imacs eventually.
