Hi, I posted a related question in MIDI but this may be more suitable here: I own an E-MU xboard with drivers installed (i think, I don't see an icon specififc to drivers) but i recently saw a description of the keyboard stating that it is compatible with mac drivers. Does this mean I should uninstall the drivers that came with it? I'm still getting familiar with logic and mac in general but I'm wondering if there is a specific window that can confirm a correct setup before I learn more about the specifics of logic. The "getting started manual" put a lot of emphasis on having midi controls installed before logic. Is this a problem? Thanks for the time!

If it is a USB keyboard then it will need drivers, check their website for the newest version.

Yes, it is a usb controller. What are your thoughts on dumping my present install in the trash and trying to install again? Will this confuse anything in logic? Thanks for the info!

Logic should detect new devices, if you add them to the device list in the audio/midi utility, that is located in the utilities folder, inside the applications folder.
