Dear Everybody,

I've been using Live 3 rewired into Protools LE 6.4, and I've been really happy with the results so far.

Now that I've had a chance to play with the AU effects and instruments in Garage Band, I'm wondering if it's possible for Live 4 access them...? Has anybody had any luck with this?

Making demos has been sooooo easy and fun with GarageBand, but the programs limitations (and its inability to Rewire into Protools) will eventually kill its usefulness to me as a production tool, and I'm hoping that an upgrade to Live 4 will give me what I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and experience in this matter.

The instruments in Garage Band are not actually Audio Units, but built into the program, so they cannot be accessed as plug-ins in other programs.

Do you mean just the Garage Band instruments or do you mean can Live support Audio Unit Plugin's? I've been using Audio Unit Plugin's with Live 4 just fine. If you mean the Garage Band instruments I guess you're out of luck.
