I am looking to purchase some software and any other hardware i need to give me the ability to mix on my G5 Mac. I have tried some programs but they do not give you the option to listen to the cued music seperate from the main speaker output. How do you do this and can i also do it on my laptop G4. I have mixed on dacks formany rears and fancy ditching the cd turntables for my comp. Any help no matter how simple is greatly appreciated.

An obvious choice would be FinalScratch by Stanton. You can mix your audiofiles using turntables. A total pro setup.

Traktor from Native Instruments is a more lightweight choice, but mixing with your mouse is just a pain. You can listen to cued sound separate from the main outputs with Traktor also but you must have an audio-interface with several analog outs so you can dedicate an output for cue.

try this Its really cool and easy to use... plus you get a more hands on feel and seperate headphone cue etc... and you also get Traktor included in the price!

If you can over look the Tomy toy plastic look its pretty decent but if you have the money (and vinyl turntables of course) then deffo go with FinalScratch which is amazing!
