If there are midi-drivers to the midisport and if the Mbox have any device-files, install them. ( check the manuals and resp websites )
Connect the usb-cable from Midisport to the usb-connector on your Mac. Start your mac. Open the Audio/Midi control panel. (located in Programs/Utilities folder on your harddrive) Your Midisport interface should be visible (klick on the midi-tab) Klick "Add unit" == "Lägg till enhet" in swedish - Look for the plus-sign. Doubleclick the new piece of equipment icon. Choose manufacturer and model from the drop down lists. Connect the out and in arrows respectively between the icon symbolizing the Midisport interface and the icon symbolizing the Microkorg. (the newly added piece of equipment-icon) Close and save settings. ( your midi settings in your os should mimic your real world setup)
Connect midi-cables from Midisport Midi-out to MicroKorg Midi-in. and from Midisport Midi-in to MicroKorg midi-out Open your software and configure midi according to instructions in the manual. Check manual to your MicroKorg for any midi caveats there and you should be set to go. Of course you must have some recorded midi-info somewhere in your software or midi-files/sequences on your computer, to be able to trigger sounds on your synth.

You should be able to do the same setup procedure for your MBox as well. It does have one midi-in/midi-out - no???

OK - I stand corrected. Try my checklist for the Midisport then. Good luck - Dixiechicken
