Hey thanks alot, thats great, im aware of the final scratch and wouldnt be into it, want to be turntable free for a while but the hercules looks good alrite(though abit fischer pricey looking)
Found the mac one here http://www.etcetera.co.uk/products/HER105.shtml What about the system requirements, needs 1 gig and min 256MB, this seems alot, is it?? I dont really know that much bout macs but im getting a G4 ibook. Will this handle it, also im gonna have alot of production software on it. Ill be storing all the MP3s externally on a POD>.What do you think?? and have you or anyone you know ever used a Hercules.. And thanks again |

ha ha! fisher pricey, like it. It is a little bit but if you look at it as an external mixer/cross fader it will do the trick! The fact that it has the scroll wheel type turn table things is just a bit of a bonus. (You can save mixes and settings too which is a handy feature)
Your ibook will be more than capable. The only problem you may face is that you cant (as far as I know) use your iPod to store songs which you intend to mix using Hercules, so your hard drive may end up filling up pretty quickly with music. I suggest (this is only my oppinion) that you get an external HD. They are fairly small so you would be able to carry it around with you, and stick all of your music on that which will free up the iBook HD. Hope this helps, and good luck. PS. I don't know where you live but if you have Maplin Electronics stores locally you can check out the PC version in store... It does look a lttle less plasticy in the flesh! -------------------- |
