Hi all,

this is my first posting here. I am a Pro Tools user with a DIGI 001 ona a Mac G4, and use Reason 2 as well. I have decided that I want to use REX files and VSTis, so I need a sequencer to do that --- I have read the forum letters about Pro Tools, and SURE the MIDI part is BAD, but the rest is great stuff, im my humble opinion. After consulting with my local dealer here in Sweden, I can get a supre deal on the LOGIC summer box, with Logic Audio 5 and a bunch of soft synths and sampler. BUT, I haven't been able to figure out if REX files are supported. A friend using CUBASE showed me how that works, where you can loop REX files by ghosting them. I was suitably impressed, but would prefer LOGIC, for price and now that Apple has bouhgt Emagic. Any help or advice welcomed...

cheers from Sverige (Sweden)
Bert

You can use rex files with Logic 5. You can 'drop' them right into the arrange page.
You can also 'import' them into the EXS24 sample player. This gives you a lot more control over them, you can individually change pitch, length, volume, etc of each 'slice ' in the rex file.
