After installing a 324 PCI card my extension icons load in the following way: The PCI driver first. then it disappears and the normal extensions load in the following manner: the first ext. loads at the lower left, then the next three appear a few spaces higher on the screen. Next, down to the bottom for two more ext's. Then the final extensions (4or5) load in an up down up fashion. Whew!
Have any of you Mac users heard of this one. I've tried renaming the ext's but to no avail.

Don't bother about it, I've seen it a few times on some friend's computers, as long as it work… ! It's weird, right, but it dosen't seem to affect to general operation. I'd investigate on the graphic card drivers myself wink.gif

The motu driver is not the cause! Perfectly normal here.

It's normal, I think.
Mine is 424PCI and UAD then these 2 disappear and the rest follow.
Never have a problem. smile.gif

It's been a while since I worked in OS 9, but, no, this is not a problem. Certain driver extensions insist on being loaded before anything else in spite of renaming them or other extensions. Unless you are experiencing a problem, such as a freeze on booting, don't sweat it

I think our friend is freaking out because he sees extensions loading all over the place instead of a cute line. I've seen it already as I said, and each time it was a video question (card/driver/screen)… as long as it works !
