I have literally just started mucking around with sound on the mac. I have itunes, ipod etc with italk and itrip. I have a voice recording in wav format and want to get a simple editing freeware program to do some simple sound editing ... taking out bits etc. Can anyone suggest a program? Thanks

You could also try Spark ME. It works great and is free also.

some macs came with an audio editor -- sound studio i think it is. -- It's a pretty neato product and should satisfy what you're after.
I know it came with the eMacs, but not the iBooks... |

Yeah I agree, Sound Studio is ace for simple editing.
But be warned: save regularly because if you cut and paste any large sections of sound it has a tendency to freeze up. -------------------- |

Those mentioned here are all good programs - you might want to have a look at 'Audacity' as well - it's er... free.
