Logic 7 Exp Or Reason 2.5 Options

Dear all,
I just oredered a G5,. I am a user of Reason and I love it. I don't know anything about Logic but i'm considering now to bu8y Reason 2.5 or logic express 7. Any suggestion?
How much can I rely on the instrumnents inside Logic? (with Reason I get so much...)

i have reason 2.5 and love it too... the instruments and the possibilities are virtually endless, but it lacks a solid sequencer, at least for my tastes. logic has similar stuff that reason has (virtual instruments) but has better sequencing. essentially, i think reason is amazing for making loops, but when it comes to stretching it out into a full track, that's where logic shines. each program will do both, but like i said, for me i like logic's sequencer better. i started out just using reason, then bought logic pro for more flexibility. for now, if you're on a tight budget, i'd recommend reason 2.5 & garageband (a very very very light version of logic & free w/ ilife) until you feel that you need something more. that's the path i took..

Logic 7 qualifies as a professional application that could be the center of a forward thinking studio. It offers unlimited possibility and is more 'logical' than previous versions. Reason 2.5 is really fun and cna be a useful creative tool but the awkwardness of integrating Reason with audio files makes it a more limited application.
I keep 3 music stations. The main rig is my full studio which centers around Pro Tools HD3 with Apogee 16X AD/DA and the full Dangerous Music line etc...
Reason can pop up and be useful in a variety of ways but it plays a minor role
when I'm surrounded by 100s of real instruments and great analog gear.

The other systems are for travel (M Box) and writing (Digi 002).
I keep Logic Pro 7, Pro Tools LE, Live, Reason and some other programs.
Reason can pop up in Pro Tools and can be a blast.
However, Logic & is incredible and I an still use my Waves plugs and Samplitute etc..

If I had to choose, I would pick Logic over Reason because you can record actual instruments but if you're commited to electronica, Reason is fun.
The editing and sequencing don't come close to Logic or Pro Tools.

if you can afford logic , then but reason too - its only another
£200 or si (£189 @ Turnkey)

Reason is not just 'fun' - try out a demo. It really is a revolutionary step forward in music production democratisation'. You will feel like the 'King of the world'. If you like techno that is.

Reason sounds much better (kicks a larger portion of asses)
when used 'through' logic.

After months and months of deciding what to buy I have read read and-re read all the posts and reviews going. Logic
seems to be the only real way to go on a Mac. (or Pro tools
if you are really rich)

If you use Logic as your sequencing and audio recording
Daddy (or mummy) and reason as your Techno jamming sketch pad and sound generator you canr really go wrong.

The 'instruments' in Logic will expand your horizons beyond your imagination (unless you are an ayahuascero)

If you are lucky enough to be able to afford both Logic and reason, I tell you, you will never look back.

If you really want to stretch your legs and disappear into the
musical sunset, then max out your computer's power.
Then lock the door to your house, unplug the phone and
prepare for interstellar music travel.

I LOVE my Reason 2.5. I love how simple and intuitive it is. I love how it's about my ideas rather than my engineering skills. I love the online community of Reason users and all the refills that I have been able to download. Reason was my gateway into MIDI. That being said, I needed to be able to work with recording my own audio and importing audio files into a sequencer to use alongside MIDI. I used Reason with Pro Tools 6.1 via ReWire, but it was unintuitive and inelegant. I was happy to give Logic Express 7 a shot when it came out, as I didn't need all of the features in Logic Pro. Amazing. It's like graduating to the next class. The synths sound great, better IMHO than in Reason, the plug-ins are way better, the interface is deeper and more sophisticated and you can record your own audio into it. Best of all, you can always synch it up with Reason if you want that vibe. If you can afford both, rock it. If you need to make a choice, I think that Logic is the way to go- you can do more with it and the sounds are more multi-dimensional.

Reason is a fun sketch pad and a welcome pop up in Pro Tools.
If you love reason, Pro Tools could be an answer because Live, Reason and Sampletank all function well within PT.
There is somethin about Logic (I have 3 PT rigs) that is really intrigueing.
You would not need Reason with Logic.
