One device, the MOTU?, needs to recieve clock and one needs to send.
I'm not sure about the card you're using but unless it can see the other device, it may default to 'internal'. Any converter needs a stable clock and any system with more than 1 digital device needs to be clocked properly. You'll get it figured out. You should try and record at 44.1/24 bit. Under most circumstances it should work fine. When you're done recording, dither to 16 bits at final mix or mastering. best, chap |
