Hi,

I would like to produce songs of decent demo quality (to be distributed the publishers/labels) and I’m looking for a laptop thats capable of achieving this.

I would like to use various plug-ins such as battery 3 and KONTAKT 2 and to have the flexibility to record/playback a large numbers of tracks(10-15 tracks).

Specs:

Macbook 2.0Ghz
Upgrade to 2Gb of RAM
External firewire hard drive
Logic Express

I release that it’s important to have a good audio interface, mics, guitars etc. but not being very knowledge about processors and RAM speeds I would like to know if an apple Macbook is an efficient and stable system for laptop recording that can handle my requirements?

Many Thanks.
