Ladies And Gentlemen, My First Mac Has Just...

arrived!

I am pleased to inform you that after long time of consideration and evaluation I bit the bullet and bought a Power Mac G4, 867. I know it's not the fastest model, but I'm sure that I will get the most out of this thing of beauty.

Well, ok I shouldn't get so carried away, it's just plastic and metal, but for some reason I always develop this inexplicable relationship with inanimate things. They become alive!!!! And I definitely see that my Mac will be no exception.

It's going to help me record and produce at least 20 songs that have been waiting for something like that. Once they're done, I'll upload them to my site [hé hé ! ]

Anyway, I just wanted to share it with you.

Lepetitmartien - if you read this, remember you told me "one of us, one of us!!!" when I was contemplating whether or not to get a Mac. Well, now I am ....one of you.

Oops, I meat to say does anyone have any experience with EMI 6/2 (not 2/6) although the only difference seems to be the MIDI in/out.

I heard it comes with logic. Is that right?

G5 With Ibm Chips

Hi,

I'm getting ready to buy a new computer for my future studio. After emailing, posting messages in forums, long considerations etc. it looks like I will go in the direction of a PC.

Why? I talked to an employee of Apple, and he told me that if I buy a G4 today, I should be ready to sell it when new processors come out at the end of 2003.

I wanted to ask Mac users, what do you think about this new, what I think they call "G5" and what is it going to mean for you? Will your current software and recording hardware work with the G5?

Also, how is Cubase SX with OSX?

Please elnighten me, I might still change my mind and go Mac if it makes sense.

Pc To Mac - Should I?????

Hi, I'm a singer/songwriter and am researching about what to do for my future home recording studio.

I'd like to ask you guys and girls out there, how much was the Mac that you're using for recording music. I mean the sum total - with the souncard and stuff.

I don't know much about Macs, but I know it's going to take me some time to learn to work with it if I get one. Right now I'm just confused

Please, let me know. If I buy a new killer PC or a new Mac, is Mac going to be much more expensive?
