Hi guys
I've tried everything: I just can't get the factory settings and sounds back into my Korg M1. This is what i've done so far: I bought a socalled MIDI MATE cable which connects my laptop with the keyboard (USB-MIDI) I downloaded the m1preld.syx file from the internet. I d/l'ed several transfer programs. Cable is connected with MIDI out to MIDI in - and visa versa. I set the Global MIDI channel to 1 on the keyboard I used the programs one by one to send the file, but the keyboard do not respond with the right sounds. I am able to transfer *.m1p files, keyboard shows the sound names, but there's no sound out of the keyboard. What happens: Mostly nothing. After some tries with the sysex transfer, the keyboard shows some sound names with absolutely no meaning, and theres no sound out of the keyboard whatsoever.
