Hi,
I'm about to purchase an Ensemble, and I've been reading the manuals and trying to figure out some things. I have a question about doing headphone mixes with it.
Let's say I have the Ensemble in the control room, and I would like to send two different headphone mixes to the live room, one for the drummer and one for the bass player. Can I use the insert sends to do this? What control do I have on the levels and what tracks will each listen to?
I use Logic 8, is this done inside Logic or is it an internal Ensemble software configuration?
And then, when using the inserts for this purpose, would I still be able to use the front pannel headphone ports separately, if needed?

Thanks a lot for your time.

Hey everyone,
This is the first step of building my new and improved home/professional studio. I'm in the middle of my audio engineering course, and I need to start thinking about my future career, so all help will be welcome.
First of all let me say that I'll mainly be suing Logic 8, for my own production and for mixing other people's work.
Now, I'm looking for a few pieces of hard/software to buy (already got Mac running Logic Studio), and I want to be able to work with ProTools in case any customer ask for it, so I'll have to buy it. Then, my question is: will Digi003 Rack be the best investment I'll do?
It's an audio interface and ProTools in one, plus mic/instrument pres, so it looks kind of good to me. But I'm a little worried about its behavior with Logic. Anyone using this setup? Having trouble?
What would you suggest if you had around 1100€ (think it's around US$1600) to spend and you needed to use ProTools and Logic?
Also, I need some good plugins, EQ, Compressor, or even a DSP system... What's your opinion on this one? Maximum 700€ (+- US$1000)

Thanks a lot to all you.

Hi.
Just bought an M-Audio FW410 and a Studio Projects C1 mic, but I'm having some problems with these two.
Everything works just fine, I have great sound from the computer, the line works perfect (tryed with my guitar), but the mic has a problem. I keep getting an annoying "sssss" sound every time I arm an audio track to record. This is not some noise from the computer or other hardware... I have complete silence in the studio.
This might be a configuration problem with the 410 preferences, but I'm kind of new to this, and mybe I'm missing some little important detail...
I know this is really vague, but if anyone could help me, I'd apreciate.
