I asked a question when I first joined this site about files that are mastered (bounced) into & their appropriate uses what I'm wondering about is the difference & again where & how it would be applied I understand the use of multiple mono & stereo interleaved but have just happened upon mono summed What is mono summed??............anybody Yours questioningly Isaac http://www.qpqproductions.com
It's taken a bit but I think I've got it sussed
What a great machine (2488), I used it for a recording of acoustic guitars (2 of) in Rosslyn Chapel on to 5 mics. 1 SE electronics 2200A for each guitar, 2 AKG C1000's halfway up the cathedral & 1 SE electronics 2200A in the crypt (rev time=12secs)
& I'm now transferring to protools so I can master in a comfortable enviroment (without double function keys!! only downer for me on the 2488 so far)
Has anyone out there got any knowledge that might be atall useful on the 2488 I would be soooooooooo greatful
The flat sound that I recorded is astounding (I can't believe what they can fit into such a small space!!!!!)
L8r guys Isaac
Hi there
I got so many Qs
Essentially how does bouncing into a split stereo format work in mixdown as opposed to interleaved stereo files??
Where & in what applications would I bounce into split stereo
Appreciate any advice
Thnx Isaac
Hi I recently discovered MS micing techniques whilst reading a TC electronics 96K Finaliser manual & immediately tried it out I've mainly used this technique recording drums for various things I've done with staggering results Using 2 AKG C1000s- 1 facing the kit & the other at 90% with phase reverse (in my case) gives a natural ambience to die for Having just discovered the technique, I was wondering what the rest of the music population thought & indeed where the best application would be best used (having only used it for drums, I'm sure there's lots of other applications I could apply it to??) All the best Isaac http://www.qpqproductions.com
Greetings from scotland guys
Anybody out there using protools & logic together in one rig??
I've got them linked together but haven't yet synced them together
I wanted logic more or less for the space designer reverb amongst other things, but the ability to have both programs starting each other would & will be emense
this my 1st time on the site & hope to learn a lot
Beam me up.............
Isaac
