I just bought the upgrade pack from Logic Express 7 to 8....obviously I checked the back for compatability with my powerbook... processor...check....ram...check etc. When I got back home I eagerly tore open the packaging and noticed that you need OSx 10.4.9 and I have 10.3.9...the price sticker was covering this bit of info...doh Do you reckon Logic express 8 would work in 10.3.9? Or am I going to have to upgrade to Tiger? Cheers for any advice! ps. I'm pretty chuffed that apple have made this version of Logic Express really appealing...fully functional sampler, put in some more synths etc.... can't wait to give it a shot!
Hello! I've just bought battery 2, installed it, but it's not really running right... It opens up fine in logic in mono, and I can trigger the samples by clicking on the cells but when I trigger it with a midi note from the sequencer logic crashes. If I open it in stereo or multi channel it doesn't crash, but produces all sorts of horrible glitches when I play the sequencer. It's the first time that logic has crashed since I bought my mac 10 months ago. I'm using a power book G4 1.5ghz 1gb ram, Logic express 7, and the in built audio jack at the moment (not ideal but not much cash). I'm still a bit of a newbie to computer techie stuff, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I'm having a few problems understanding the sampler on Logic Express...I've got all the basic functions down, but I'd like to start making my own drumkits, and making my own samples... so how do I load up .wav files to use in the sampler, how do I go about making my own drum kits, and is it possible to resample? I know there are a few differences between the express version and the pro version, one being that I can't make my own instruments on the express version (not sure what that means though!) Any pointers in the direction of a tutorial on this sampler, or any help at all would be very much appreciated!
Hello! I hope this is the right section to post in... I just downloaded daHornet AU softsynth, and when I double click on the file, it displays the message "does not appear to be compressed or encoded" and suggests trying stuffit, which also gives the same message. Do I need different decompression software to uncompress it? It's a .dmg.gz file. Any ideas anyone? Thank you!
