I know that Muzys official page is gone and so does forum on KvR. As far as I'm informed Jo has abandoned developing Muzys and concentrate on some other application. He also promised some special offer for registrated users of Muzys.
Does anyone know anything more about this ? Does anyone recived this mysterious offer ?
Thanks Piotr
There is no other software like Muzys... if it only had disk streaming.
Hi !
I'm trying to set default template in Logic Express 7, which template should I overwrite to make it work ?
And one more thing... does Logic Express has Silence Strip anywhere ? I remember this option from older versions of Logic but can't find it here... is it gone ?
Thanks
Hello, I'm using Mac for audio production only for few weeks now, so please forgive me those silly questions Ok, so I've read on this forum that making two accounts on OS X -one for daily stuff and other optimized for music making is very good solution. Well... indeed it works fine, but I have some annoying problems with it too. I'm using Logic Express 7 and every time I open my song all the samples have to be reload again, software cannot save overview as this account doesn't have enough privileges for that. Do I have to change privilages to every folder ? Is there a way to set it globaly ? Other problem I have is that Logic does mix/export audio to either WAV and AIFF format but neither of them can be played later with Quick Time and system don't know how to open this files. I overcome this problem importing it to Audacity (at least WAV files because Audacity don't recognize Logic's AIFs) I can live with that... but since I do everything on Logic (mixing and mastering too) it takes much more time. And the last thing is memory in Mac's. I have G4 with 512MB. I don't use a lot of software samplers and much ram consuming applications... so the question is - how expanding ram to 1GB would change my system performance for my use ? Would it change it A LOT ? I'm a bit affraid of reading what I wrote. Anyway it's a Getting Started Forum, isn't it ? thanks !
Hi!
Maybe someone from this list can help me with my problem. I have Opcode 64 x midi interface. Have been using it with Gibson's drivers on Windows XP without any problems. But lately I've changed myold PC with new eMac and OSX. I've bought serial-usb converter and have downloaded geethree stealth midi driver. Now OSX an Stealth sees serial port but Opcode is still dead. Is there any way to make it to work under OSX ? Maybe this driver just works with stealth port ?
Thanks, Piotr
Hello,
I'm new to this forum and mac world in general. For various reasons I'm about to change my Athlon 1700+ to eMac 1.25 with 1 GB of ram memory. Since I'm making music on Logic (stucked on 5.5) I was wondering how it works on eMac ? How he manages ? I know that it is not a pro computer but I don't really need lightspeed machine. Even my Athlon seems to be more then enough for me. I use Logic mainly for MIDI, audio tracks and effects. I still have lots of hardware and except Kontakt and Battery don't use vst instruments.
OK, so to sort it out, can anyone write me if eMac would be good for this tasks ? How can I compare it to my Athlon ?
THX for help !
