hello. i've recently acquired a mackie 1202 vlz micro mixer and am using it with mbox. would there be any signal degradation if if plug in all of my inserts (mpc2000xl, guitar, bass) into the mackie and then attach the stereo outs of the mackie into the analog inserts in the mbox? if i am recording into pro tools would it be better to plug straight into the mbox and leave the mackie out of the picture? pls. help! thanks.

I am new at this so i don't really know if this is possible...I have an mpc2000xl hooked up to protools 6.2.3 le via midisport 2x2 ('out' of mpc to 'in' of midisport channel A). I do not have the 'out' of the midisport connected back to the 'in' of the mpc.

Anyway when i create a midi track and record in protools as my mpc is playing, all of the midi notes get recorded in pro tools as i have set each track to channel out to the midisport. But how do i hear the sounds? The mpc has .pgm files that contain sounds that the midi sequence triggers. Is it possible for these sounds to be transfered via midi, or in any way to be played back by the midi sequence in pro tools (received by the mpc)? please help me.

hello. i have just gotten an mbox and am trying to hook up an mpc2000xl with pro tools. Is there any way to get the midi sequences (with their sounds) already created by the mpc into pro tools midi tracks via midi connections/interface? please help!

hello. i am running osx panther and have a midisport 2x2 by m-audio. if i am considering pro tools 6.0 (i can get the 6.22 update from digidesign) will my setup work? or do i need a Digi001, Mbox, or Audiomedia III/Toolbox?

Earlier i was running pro tools free on my osx panther and the midi input devices were not recognized by the software. although in my audio midi setup through the osx i was able to select my midi devices from a list and linked them to the midisport 2x2, i still could not get a signal. i know there are incompatibility issues with pt free and osx, so maybe this is why the midisport wasn't recognized. anyway please let me know if pro tools le 6.0 will work with osx panther and midisport 2x2. thanks.
