Hi, i'm a pc user. i compose all my tracks on a desktop with jeskola buzz (freeware - but damn good) Now, buzz is the most unstable program ever, so i can't use it live. (or hardly) i was thinking of converting it into samples/sequences and using it in ableton live. Since ableton works both on ordinary laptops and powerbooks, And powerbooks are more stable i was thinking of buying one. After that i'm planning to learn to use logic. (which should be ok - i'm using pc for all my music needs over 5 years and i'm starting to know how to work with most programs) So, is it worth it? Will the powerbook (just the 'cheapest' one, 1ghz/512ram/ you know the 12inch one) be good enough to perform live? That's the main issue.. But i was wondering about this And will it be good enough to record for example guitar? or do i need an extra audio interface? I'd also like to do live guitar processing.. is the latency not to big? does powerbook g4 support Asio?.. any any help is greatly appreciated! bytheway: http://www.adecemberlake.com/wixel -> there you can find some of my stuff.. might give you an idea of what i want to recreate live..
