a firewire question

hi, i run logic on an ibook 500, with a 60 GB firewire hard disk. my audio interface is the emi 2/6, and it is working fine. but currently i am trying to master my tracks on the ibook, and found the amount of audio tracks at playback not quite enough. so, would a firewire interface, i have the motu828 in mind, enable more audio tracks and more plug-ins at play back? or is it the matter of the computer, ram, and hard disk? thank you in advance. nathanan

does anybody know what happen to wave player in emagic logic? did it disappear somewhere when emagic released the exs24?

M-Audio Quattro

i am looking at m-audio quattro for my set up which includes the new
ibook, logic gold 4.7, ni battery, and some hardware synths and samps. has anyone else tried the quattro, please let me know. thank you.
