Hi guys,
Another question from me.
I ordered Spark XL 2.8 to use on my new MAC running OSX and i'm a bit confused.
The system requirements of Spark XL 2.8 says that MAC OSX is supported but when i look at the system requirements of FX-machine (witch is part of Spark XL) it says that OSX is not supported.
Can i only use a part of the program than???, ... in that case i will cancel my order of course.
Please let me know

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Hi all,
I just switched to MAC and there are no OSX drivers available for my UAD-1 card.
I'm thinking about returng it and buy a TC Powercore card witch already has OSX support.
Is the powercore good ?

Thanks in advance

Alex

PS: Already posted this one in another catogory but just in case, .... Is there some program available like Recycle witch will work on OSX?

Hi All.
Last friday i bought a MAC and i installed OS 10.2.6.
Today i'm trying to install my new RME multiface8 but i could realy use some help.
I downlaoded the latest drivers of the RME site, witch are 3 total:

* fut_11_104.sit, Flash Update Tool for Hammerfall DSP System
* madsp220.sit Mac OS (>8.6) ASIO 2.0 driver for Hammerfall DSP System
* hdsp_11.tar Mac OS X (10.2 or up) driver for Hammerfall DSP System.

I installed the devive driver (hdsp_11.tar) with succes but i'm unable to install the ASIO driver
and update the PCI card with the Flashupdate tool.

The ASIO drivers need to be copie to the system folder and than they should automaticaly be installed in the Extensions folder (says the readme file)
But when i copy the file to the System folder an error says that the System folder can not be changed, ...??? what should i do??

When i try to update the PCI card with the Flashupdate tool i get an error that the driver could not be accesed over and over. The readme file says that driver version 2.0 or higher must be installed but i don't know witch driver they mean with this. ()the latest device driver is 1.1)

Can anybody help please

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Hi Guys,
Finaly, ... i got my mac dual 1.25 today!
I don't know much (better to say nothing) about the mac and osx but so far i'm realy pleased!
I got it this afternoon, took it out of the box and installed OS 10.2.3 whitout troubles, ... after that i installed the os 10.2.6 combo update witch went fine as well.
My question is:
I installed the OS and my 80GB drive witch is 1 big partition now.
I would like to make 2 partitions of this drive, ... 1 for the OS and 1 for my Samples and stuff.
How can i do this (and can i do thisd now OSX is installed already)?

My second question is if i have to make special OS settings to optimize it as a music system?

And the third question is if if i have to take praticular steps to install my RME multiface, .... or is it just, ... plug it in and install the drivers when asked?

Thanks in advance.

Alex
