Brum Brum - G4 Dual 450mhz 768mb

hi MacMusicians..

i am thinking of buying an M-AUDIO DELTA AUDIOPHILE 2496 today... to be able to get my electricguitarsound into my mac and start making music digitally...

however I am wondering if anybody has experienced a sort of BRUM BRUM-sound from the Mac... because my G4 (Dual 450Mhz 768Mb) is from 2000 and it sounds a bit... the cooler I reckon...
Will this "noice" affect the digital sound when it enters the computer from an M-AUDIO DELTA AUDIOPHILE 2496

and if so... is there anyway to wash or polish this mis-sound away?

i am wondering if anyone has used a VOX Pathfinder 10 or 15Watts line-in to a G4 and record demos..
i am thinking of buying the small amplifier in order to play at home as well... and needless to say i am very fond of VOX... that's why it has to be it!

i have downloaded and installed PRO TOOLS free and the free version of AmpliTube... so now i want to hook up my electric guitar and start recording some stuff.

but i amn't quite sure if i need anything else to be honest..

i need to get started as quick as possible before the AmpliTube free stops working

i have a G4 Dual 450MHz 768MB (firewire,USB)

anybody that can help?
i live in sweden so if there are any Swedishtalking you can write in Swedish.. otherwise English will do fine
