Lost Data In Logic Project?

I started a Logic project on 5/9/08 and have been working on it ever since (It was almost done, believe it or not). Now when Logic opens the file, it's as if it only saved the first day's work!

In 'Finder', the file info says 'Modified 5/9/08', even though I've been working on it and saving ever since, and have had no problems until now.

I routinely backup my files, but the last time I did that was on 5/17, so I have some of it, but all of last week's work appears to be gone. Am I screwed? Do I have to repeat all of last week's work?!

Drum Software Suggetions? Idrum Vs Doggiebox Vs Rs 16x Vs Archibald

I've got Logic Pro 8 and have been looking for other applications to do the drum tracks (for less than $80). I feel like I've done all the research I can without actually downloading the trials (which will be the next step), but I 'm having trouble narrowing down the list between iDrum, Doggiebox, RS 16x, and Archibald. Anybody use any of these four programs?

My primary concerns are
A) Professional sound quality
B) Suitable for metal music (that means fast analog drums, no techno/hiphop beats)
C) Multiple time signatures
D) Integration with Logic, or at least MIDI import/export

Regarding the sound quality, does anyone know what recording capabilities (16-, 24-, 32-bit?) and/or sample rates (96-192 kHz?) any of these programs have? I cannot find any such info with the exception of iDrum (which I believe to be 32-bit and 192 kHz, a huge plus). iDrum also acts as a plug-in with Logic, also a huge plus. I've heard complaints that it only supports 4/4 time, but since I'm using Logic, can I create a MIDI track in another time signature and then route it to iDrum? If not, then that is a big minus for iDrum.

As for the fast analog drum tracks, I am willing to put in the time and effort, but are these programs more for hiphop/alternative/etc music? Doggiebox seems to have a nice interface for this kind of thing, but that's just at first glance. It does support any time sig and MIDI import/export. RS 16x also supports any time sig and MIDI import/export, and also has an attractive interface, but that's pretty much all I can find for those two. Archibald is the one I know the least about, but it is geared toward having a more natural/human-like drum sound, which sounds good for my situation. However, I don't know what kind of sound quality to expect, or if it has other time sigs or even MIDI import/export.
