I have used Sound Forge's product ACiD in the past as a multi track song builder on a PC.
Ever since I got my Mac I have been look for something as simple and intuitive for looping and combining various sound formats (.wav, .mp3, .aiff, etc.), but I am having little luck.
Basically what I want to do is just play around with different loops/samples/snippets of music to create my own songs.
What would be the best option for doing this on a mac?
I have tried Deck but it doesn't import .mp3's.
I have a G4 eMac.
Any Advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

How about Apple's Soundtrack? Or try Phatmatik Pro - that works as a plug-in within a sequencer (ie Logic or Cubase SX) and you can load AIFFs, WAVs and ACID-ized WAVs. Once the loop is all trimmed up lovely and sliced up real nice, it'll follow the song tempo automatically in the sequencer. It's very good on drum loops. Live is cool, too.
