you might want to look at Traktor by Native Instruments. It's the kind of thing that you could use to make a mix, but you could also use it to beatmatch mp3's live provided you had a soundcard of somesort (and preferably a laptop).

alternately, any multitrack app would work- Bias Deck, Logic Bigbox, ...hmm aren't there any cheaper multitrack options than that?

Perhaps you should checkout Roxio's Toast (Titanium). They just came out with version 6.

no, i don't think toast will let you beatmatch. it's true that hooman just asked to be able to make a 'compilation cd' but i think by 'mixed CDs' he means beatmatched.

Thats's correct boze.. I am looking to beatmatch. On the PC side, there;s Sound Foundry's Acid that works great. Am looking for a similar prodyct for Mac.

i think one of the versions of Traktor is a great call. not like Acid in the sense that you don' t just drag your audio files around in a timeline, but a real laptop deejaying tool that you could use to dj mp3s and leave your records at home eventually if you wanted to.

check it out at least if you're not familiar.
