A couple of newbie Cubase questions:

Is there an easy way to create AUDIO drum-sequences in cubase without having to create a new track for every single drum sound? I find this very complicated. I understand there is a MIDI drum organizer that is quite easy to use...

One more thing, how do I prevent changes in an audio sequenze from affecting the entire track? An example: when adding reverse-effect on one piece of the audio track, I dont want this to affect the following events on the same track.

Cheers

Drums first: the bundled drum machine can do what you want - just thwack away at it live to create a nice drum loop and record it while you do it. Then everything will be on the same track. Although musically, you might want to keep things on separate tracks so you can mix it better and add FX to individual sounds.

An even easier way to do it, as long as you're in OS X, would be to buy Doggiebox (doggiebox.com). For about $25, you get a pretty cool drum machine app that can export its files as audio. Then just drop these files onto your Cubase sequence.

As for the FX thing, can you just automate the effect to happen at a particular point? Insert it on the track, then simply play the song and when you get to the bit you want to reverse, turn the effect up. When you want it to stop, turn it off.

This should work, but you don't say which OS you are using or which version of Cubase. I've only ever used SX. Any other questions, come right back at us.
