I'm fairly new to Live having worked in Cubase for many years, so please bear with me!

I'm currently trying out Live 7 and using it to put together a 1 hour live show for a theatre. I'm using mp3 backing music on one track, stereo backing vocals on another track and a backup of the lead vocal on a 3rd track (in case of sore throats etc !!). These tracks are all assigned to different outputs from my audio interface into the FOH mixer.

I need to play all the clips from start to finish without having to trigger them manually or remotely. I've set up follow actions in each clip's launch box for the music track clips - set to 'next' track, which works ok, but the problem I have is that the 2 vocal tracks on each songs scene aren't being triggered - only the music track is playing without the vocals. If I trigger the scenes manually it works fine and everything plays as it should.

Any advice what I'm doing wrong, or how I should be going about this would be really helpful! I just need all the scenes to play from start to finish without stopping.
Thx

I am not sure why the follow commands aren't working with the vocals other than that they may be of different length than your instrument tracks.....not even sure why this would be a problem.....Live is not without its quirks: The simple answer would be to abandon the clip triggering in favor of recording all of your clips into the Arrangement view and at least that way everything works along a specific time line.

Thx for the reply. I've figured out recording all the tracks into an arrangement, but I was hoping to steer away from the linear approach - I much prefer the session view for playback for this.
I think the issue is that the BV's and vocals are not included on every scene - some of the music playbacks are music only for dance routines - see attached screenshot of my rough track/scene setup.

I have 'next' set for track 1 (so that all tracks play after each other which works fine as the clips are all grouped together) - but that only affects track 1 - do I also have to set 'Next' for tracks 2 and 3? - given that BV and vocal clips aren't on every scene (not 'grouped') ? How do I get this to work?
All the BV/vocal lclips on each scene are the same length as the music BTW.

Once I've figured this out, I want to then add in midi tracks to take care of the dMX controlled lighting - but one step at a time! This is a great program, but I need to ensure it works how I want it to, before investing in it!
Thx again for your time..
