Hello I have Logic Silver 4.8.1 for MAc 0S 9.1 . I just wanna record using the standard sound card that came with my g4. Is this possible because i can't find the record enable buttons on the tracks. They just ain't there angry.gif . it works fine with Midi.

Do i need a new soundcard if so what do i get?

Open "Audio Hardware and Drivers" in preferences.
Select Mac A/V as your driver (i.e. tick box)
You may need to Relaunch Audio Driver or restart logic.

Select all Audio Faders in the Audio page of Environment by loop selecting them (to open this page double click on an audio object in the arrange page).

In the parameter box on the left side of your environment set "Dev" to Mac.

This should be all you need to do to set up the audio driver to work with Mac A/V. You should have "rec enable" buttons now.

Also make sure that in your "Sound" control panel from apple menu your sound in and out are set correctly.
