Thanks i do! how does that solve the problem ? how can i hear my PREVIOUSLY RECORDED TRACKS? whilst recording audio if it is both SOLO'd and MUTED???? Personally I just mute the track, which means I can hear the backing and the live (direct) sound that I am recording (through my mixer) but not hear the instrument I am recording through the computer. Depending on the quality of your gear if you don't mute it you hear a delay, almost like an echo (due to latency) that can be off putting. I think you don't need to solo it, this as you have discovered doesn't let you hear the other stuff. This assumes you are recording a guitar amp or some instrument you can hear, if you are recording a software instrument ten you don't need to do either. Hope that helps. Jake.
