Hi everyone,
a quick scout through the forum, and I can't find an answer to this; I've posted a similar topic on recording.org
I'm using a MacBook Pro 2,2 Ghz, 4GB RAM with the standard 5400rpm 120 GB hard drive.
I want to record onto an external firewire hard drive, using Logic Pro.
As I'm using the MOTU 8pre interface, the Firewire 400 port is taken, leaving only the 800 for the harddrive.
I realise that they're both running on the same bus; is this going to cause problems? Will both peripherals be sharing just '400'?
Any experiences with this?
Thanks in advance!
