 How To Have A 40m Long Midi(usb) Connection? |

Hi all,
I would like to connect an Imac G5 and a motu MP AV (usb) but one is about 40m away. What is the solution? I know there's any possibility with RJ45 (ethernet) connection/ adaptator, but I've only found USB1.0/RJ45 adaptators, and almost needs drivers that are only for PC? I really need help quite soon...  THANKS A LOT GUYS..... |

Most of these seem to not require drivers. I looked at the product manuals of a couple and there is not mention of driver installation.
This would make sense since there are 2 units with cat5 in-between and neither the host computer or the peripherals would need to know about them since they are still talking with plain old USB. The boxes do the translation.
