You may want to look at:

Apple Jam Pack: Symphony Orchestra - Apple loops and instruments ($99)
Ultimate Sound Bank's ClassicalBoomBox - 182 pro orchestral instruments compatible with any application that supports Apple Loops ($95) www.usbsounds.com

Motu Symphonic Instrument plug-in - Great sounds and features, and the sounds can be used in Motu's Mach5 sampler

VSL's Vienna Symphonic Instrument Special Edition - High quality (and expensive at $422), but you get 'pro' sounds and instruments www.vsl.co.at/

Symphony Orchestra - Emerald - A great sounding 'rompler', works with N.I.'s Kontakt ($299)
www.kirkhunterstudios.com

Both Motu's Mach5 and N.I.'s Kontakt 2 samplers are extremely powerful and full-featured.

If you just need sounds (or samples), there are plenty of sample libraries available online, such as www.bigfishaudio.com or www.soundsonline.com
