Hi

How do I get two monitors attached to my macbook pro? yes I could attach 1 and use my laptop screen but I want 2 x 23 inches that I have (lucky i know!) to run off the macbook pro and be able to arrange them so the are not mirrored but showing different stuff. They are currently attached to a g5 tower (since died) that has two connectors but the mbook has only one. I have looked at splitter cables but my impression is that these will only duplicate the same image on each monitor (mirrored)

Any ideas

Ade

Ade,

If you use the DVI port on the side of the MBP you can connect a DVI monitor to that and use the built in display. But I understand the desire to have all three (or at least the 2 x 23 monitor support). You can try a Express Card/34 video out adapter to drive the second monitor.

Best of luck.

peace.

Wow! I love a challenge when it comes to researching but, this one is tough! There is an adapter out there that turns your Express Card slot into a PCMCIA slot-

http://duel-systems.rushorder.com/?productid=DP-0001[/url]

MAC OS X 10.4.8 -10.5 compatible

But when you try to find a PCMCIA card that supports 2 external monitors and then go to the Duel Systems DuelAdapter compatibilty page-
http://duel-systems.rushorder.com/support/matrix.cfm

I can't find a PCMCIA card in their[u] list that serves that purpose? The FAQ's page simply states that if the PCMCIA card is compatible with the (above) OS X, "it will probably work"? I submitted an email to them with your question. If you go to their web sight to the "product Support" page, there's a toll free number where you could call and ask your questions.

And for the PCMCIA card, check this out- http://www.villagetronic.com/vtbook/index.html
Good luck and let us know?

Don't take any noise for granted. With a little rythym, it could be music.
