I'm wondering if anyone can recommend an audio editor for the Mac. I know Bias Peak is the standard program to use but I'll explain what I need :-
I use Logic Pro 7.1 and have Waves plugins etc
Bascially I am remixing the album of a heavy rock band and want to do chilled mixes. I have all the .wav files (24 per song) and want to chop up the vocal lines and then maybe slow them down and change the pitch etc. SO the audio editor would need to do
.wav file chopping pitch correction (if possible) maybe some funky vocoder effects although I can do these in Logic if needed.
I assume most people will recommend Bias Peak so should I go for the Pro version or will hte LE version suffice?
Ive tried lloking up this info on their website but it appears to concentrate more on the mastering/CD dupliction side of the program.

Logic Pro 7 has an audio editor; WaveBurner. Bias is better, but WB is a good editor.

Thank you for the answers. I will go with Bias as I cant seem to do pitch shifting etc in Waveburner. More likely this is becuase I havent read the instructions.

QUOTE (Podfather @ Sun 4 Jun 2006, 17:55) Thank you for the answers. I will go with Bias as I cant seem to do pitch shifting etc in Waveburner. More likely this is becuase I havent read the instructions. Logic has everything you need. I would consider purchasing more software to do what you need to do as flushing money down the toliet. It is an audio editor. It has a pitch shifting plug. It has a vocoder. You might try reading the instructions, it certainly is cheaper.
