hey Guros
i have a problem when i restart my mac or load up and want to play audio it clicks and cuts in and out like somethings wronge with the signal ... i'm not sure what it is i use the optical digital out ---then to presonus/monitering central station then to my genelecs the signal is terriable then fixes itself after about 10-20 mins fully.
I have done a disk scan ... and repair .......i had the problem before and reinstalled i don't wanna have to do all that again... i had all the sleep modes off like disk switch off norton disabled all that but i don't know what the problem is anyone know ?

How much RAM have you installed? Where are you bouncing you audio or reading files eventually?
I think you have a problem when the system boots up and then does it's silent routine under the hood (switching some files, defragmenting others…) and it's interfering either as CPU load, or RAM use or virtual memory and disk accesses.

hey i have 2.5 ddr Ram (2* 1g ) i am bouncing my audio into my project folders which i have one a seperate harddrive
I have one main harddrive the MD 160 that came with it then a 250 gb (Partitioned 4 way) for projects and audio and a further 500gb harddrive for samples and backup use.
The files say for itunes are on my second drive First partition.which files do you suggest ? and defragging which ones or what drive ?
Yeah you seem to be on the track but i don't know what to do from here
