I dont know what's the problem is.
I got a new Mac book pro and I bought a normal Logitech USB Optical Mouse. Using the Mouse on a plain black mouse pad. Tracking speed set to maximum.
the repsonse to fine movement is poor (e.g. it's slow in response in jobs as simple as working with the transport buttons in Ableton Live). got pissed off after 5 mins use. Anyone can suggest what's the problem is? Really dont know which part of the link has the problem. Tried the mouse on other surfaces: no help. Is it the Mac? the Mouse or the USB?
I 've been using ball mouse with PS/2 for years in Windows. Although it is old-school but I find it works well for me...
have tried to find a USB ball mouse in 4-5 shops , all says they dont hv such a thing.
pls forgive my poor english..Hope someone can give me some light. thx!!!!

I had tried with paper but it doesnt help.
The package of the mouse said it doesnt need driver for mac...and there is no driver of this mouse available for Mac in the logitech website.

yo , i have a bunch of mouses for sale or MICE ,the kensington pocket mouse 2 , wireless rechargable etc , work very well with MAC & PC's USB or PS2 , need no drivers ,or mains socket PSU charges from USB port wireless dongle works from the Keyboard hub for extra range if needed ,, etc 4 buttons and wheel that you can use ! ,all new boxed etc , £12 each plus post . £3 uk £5 europe £7 rest of world , email or paypal me at len303@soundwavechildren.fslife.co.uk for details , cheers !-)
by the way i would avoid any apple mice MOI as for me they are hard to use , buttons are awkward to use , not shaped for hand & hard to press . i got one with my G5 , after a day or two i sold it on ebay for £25 , im was amazed people want these ?? the 360 wheel is good but frigile & , tracks well , but it simply is unuser friendy .try right click its anoying at best ,clumsie & made my rist hurt...
anyone remeber the imac puck !-( The MX700 is quite good but needs the drivers & a plug point to charge ,all those leads argh etc , i have one of those too on a second mac , but i never use all 11 buttons ever ,. & the clieche check out CDBABY.com/kenspocket , our music LOL ....
