aaaaaaaaaaaah yesssssss

happy - ish thanks warpy, wish my wife would get out more though

me no flame you brudder no flame you no no flame man no no no

re the software
au/vst - yes

but what about the elusive vst i (eye)

note the 'i'

(b4 u set the dogs on me warpy...
i know they are free so i shouldnt be too demanding - but its for a charity project which will hopefully send off young offenders with a laptop that makes music and we cant be doing with 'da crack ting)

its a question of how far we can realistically go down the free gratis and nothing path

and anyway these could never really be considered free....
what about the college edudcation you need to get them to work?

reading reading reading

ok so it looks like you cant use a keyboard to record a midi part in

audacity

its a soundfile editor - which is good if you want to edit soundfiles

and theres nothing wrong with that

but its not the garden full of roses that it first seems

WHAT IS HYPERENGINE-AV?
A non-linear video editing software that lets you capture, import, edit, arrange together and process video, photos, audio and text to create DV quality movies and slide shows.

no keyboard midi type action here then

which is why i was so perrrrrsitent about the vst eye issue

so

Audacity and hyperengine av are an amazing chance to get yourself
up and running with the concept of building tracks, processing captured sound and even laying a track over some pictures with impressive results for a freebie

but there is still no such thing as a free lunch
a burger? maybe.

any linux gurus out there working on some king of midification usb keyboard support

i know its free i know i know i know

what was i thinking

but hey kids! dont crack feh dat track!
not while mum is looking
