I have a series of short (1-2 sec) AIFF files. I need to add some basic reverb, and save them as AIFF again with the reverb. Can you suggest the simplest software to do this? I don't need pro quality. Thanks.

I often use Sound Studio that came with my Emac or my wifes' iBook.(Didn't come with the Powerbook but i copied the App. anyway)
Sound studio is nifty for tweaking AIFF files, compressing the data and for E.Q, Reverbs, various effects etc. In fact, I've now got my wife using her iBook as a dictaphone with it...pretty handy ! Really easy to use, can be bought for a nominal price I think from the S.Studio people, but you MAY already have it on your Mac... Worth a look... cheers... |

I've found Bias Peak LE to be a great tool for stuff like that, as well. They have some juicy reverb settings you can play with, and best of all they allow you a free, fully functional 14-day trial - check out http://www.bias-inc.com and see what you think.
I'm definitely considering purchasing this software; even the features in the trial are mind-blowing. -------------------- |

I tried Peak, but no matter what I did, any version that I'd save would not contain the reverb or other effects.

Try Audacity, it's a freeware.

Audacity is probably the best solution...
What kind of machine do you have by the way? Garageband also has an AUreverb installed. |
