Cubas SX and Live 5 both support VST and AudioUnit plug-ins. Logic Pro supports AU only, but does come with the EXS24 II sampler and the Ultrabeat drum machine, which are both pretty cool for making drum tracks.

Not VST it won't. AU only.

Saying that, you could buy the £50 VST-AU adapter from fxpansion - works well enough. Converts your VSTs into useable AU form, so you can load them in Logic.

Personally, I prefer to stick with whatever the program natively runs. Less headaches. Which is why if you really want to run VST plugs, I'd look at Live 5. If you can forgoe VSTs (yes, even though I know you just bought one!), get one of the versions of Logic because it's probably the best sequencer available.

Take a look at your install disk, Groove Agent is an Audio Unit. Look for the correct version on you disk and install it, then it should work in GB.

Also take a look at Metro. It's not as well known as Logic or Cubase, but it's very well supported and it runs both VST and AU plug-ins.
