hi all, I'm a new mac user (imac g5 10.4) and I own a korg triton extreme, roland juno2, roland super jd990 and a roland ef303. I'd like to know wich software I can use to get the best out of my machines (especialy the korg)
I have used sofwares on pc before (rebirth, reason, fruity loops, sound forge) but they were all free without instructions so we can say I've never used a "real" sofware.
thanx in advance

Hi there malice666
Logic Express+Pro handle outboard synths very well but its environment is way over my head.
Motu Digital performer+Sagan tech Metro will all sequence, record+mix.
Pro tools too if your just mixing + editing audio.
Links and some demo's can be found in the software section.

Hi there, I made good experience with the Software of Native Instruments like the Bösendorfer Piano, Hardcore Bass, Absynth (Synthi). Find out what you need, there are Tryouts on the Webpage.

I know that Logic, Cubase & Digital Performer will all run excellently with external midi devices as they were all initially developed to do exactly what you are talking about. Ableton Live will supposedly do it as well but the first three, you can't go wrong with. Check out Hitsquad.com as they may have some freeware utilities for strictly outboard midi sequencing if you just want to "get your feet wet". You should also look around for a multi output midi router (these are getting harder to find new since everybody is going virtual).
