I,ve correctly installed en emagic EMI 2|6 on a G4 433MHz, Mac OsX 10.2.8
Then I've installed Motu Dp 4.5.
I'm not able to let DP recognize the EMI inputs.
The audio interface is not broken because on mac Os 9.1 works well with DP 3.0.
DP 4.5 recognize the every output...
I called emagic here in Italy but no one has the answer, nor motu....
..maybe DP4.5 doesn't support duplex audio cards??

Yes. The Audio/midi setup utlity can see the EMI 2|6, I can route and hear the internal signal through the card.
The matter is the input, I can't record anything even if everything is well installed...

For the EMI 2|6, you might try reinstalling the driver; which currently seems to be EMagic A26, on my G5 dual Tiger 10.4.2 with Logic Pro 7. I have found that this set up often gives me crackles when first launched. The workaround is to reduce the I/O buffer size from 512 to 32 (Try Relaunch) and back again. To record, check that your record path is correct. From my experience you need to put a mixer or microphone amplifier between the mic/instrument to increase the signal level so that it is boosted enough to register on the level meters in Logic. i.e. you need a pre-amp of some sort feeding your signal into the input phono sockets of the EMI 2|6. I have been using a cheap ($50 or so) 10 input 2 bus Mic/line mixer Phonic M1002 for this purpose, for electric guitars and Rode microphones. I hope this helps;-) Charles Lucy http://www.lucytune.com

My client uses a a Line6 pod , the signal from the pod goes to the EMI and has the correct level. This configuration worked perfectly in mac OS 9.1 with DP 3. I wonder why there's no "compatibility chart" available in motu.com or emagic.de

The final response
After one month I finally get in touch with a Motu responsible, he told that DP 4 on mac osX is NOT compatible with Emagic EMI cards.
He was even surprised that DP 4.5 can use the output of EMI 2|6.
Thank Lucytune and Azusa
