Hello all. Ive just switched from Cubase SX to Logic Express 7 and I am having problem getting sound out of Logic.

I am running OSX Tiger on a upgraded G4 and a Edirol PCR-A30 controller keyboard.

I have: set audio ins and out in the Apple 'Audio MIDI setup.app' and the Edirol is listed as a MIDI device.

I have: set the core audio interface as the Edirol in Logic.

The sequencer records midi notes. The transport bar says 'No Out' when i play the keyboard so im presuming its a midi setting that needs changing somewhere?

is this something to do with 'environments'? Still cant get my head round them so maybe thats where im going wrong?

Thanks
Ben

Hi!

I'm not an expert at Logic by any means, but when you look at the DEVICE option in the window on the left, do you see Core Audio selected? If not, you can click on the name of whatever is showing right now and select Core Audio from a drop-down menu. Lots of stuff in Logic is clickable, but it's not readily apparent that it's clickable. You just have to read the manuals to know, or experiment with clicking on stuff.

This is a pretty technically lame suggestion, so I apologize. But like I said, I'm a neophyte myself!

Good luck!

HI, thanks. yes I have the coreaudio all set-up correctly.

Have managed to get some sound out of the instruments but i keep getting a in/out error and it switches the in and outs resulting in no sound, there also appears to be a delay in me playing the keyboard and the sound coming out.... any ideas?

thanks
