hey all. I have a 40 minute live performance recorded and mixed in logic. While i can export the whole bounced file, is there a way to split the whole project (after bounced to wav) into CD tracks within logic? is there a separate program i need for such a task? If so, free ones? not so free ones? thanks

Hi
One way of sorting it is to use Roxio Jam. Here you can import your bounced file, adjust the start and end times, then re-import the file for track 2 and repeat the same procedure. This method is great as you can tweak exactly where the index points appear. Hope this helps. |

Add the audio file to the arrange window and then using the scissors tool cut the audio file into separate regions at the spots where you want the CD tracks to occur. Now highlight all of the regions and from the "Audio" submenu on the arrange window select "Convert Regions to new Audio files". You can then rename these files from the arrange window.
Add these files to iTunes. You can then use iTunes to Burn these to CD. In your iTunes preferences make sure you choose to have a "0 second" gap between tracks if you don't want to hear silence between tracks ending and new ones starting. |

You can use Sound Studio, a separate program. You can import the entire file. And, place what are known as markers which will break up the marked areas into individual tracks. http://www.felttip.com
